Kemet Industries Inc., a for profit corporation established in 2015, is headquartered in the state of New York, with locations in Miami, Florida and the Caribbean. Kemet Industries Inc is guided by O. Anthony Wint, a pioneer in the merged fields of Community Development, Construction and Energy Efficiency. Possessing vast experience in specific areas such as Building Design Construction, lighting, Sustainability and urban Planning, O. Anthony Wint Obtained a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and over twenty years of hands on experience in Energy Design Construction.

As an essential part of the design and approval process for the Development Order Amendment of the Okeelanta Cogeneration Energy electrical facility located in South Bay, Florida, O. Anthony Wint quickly grasped the importance of energy efficiency. The Okeelanta facility is a part of the New Hope Power Partnership and is considered “one of the most significant biomass projects in the country and has an installed capacity of 140MW. The power plant burns sugar cane fibre (bagasse) as well as recycled urban wood for electricity generation.

O. Anthony Wint provided technical assistance to enhance New Hope Power Partnership’s (Florida Crystal) Development Order, resulting in the approval and use of the electrical Cogenerating plant that produces both electricity and steam, using biomass as fuel. The 140MW project cost $192,530,000. In addition, O. Anthony Wint also possesses experience in direct-sales of energy efficiency measures such as lighting, controls, solar and HVAC

One of the ways that Kemet Industries Inc., contributes our share of responsible development is to incorporate green materials. One such material is Cross Laminated Wood. Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a large-scale, prefabricated, solid engineered wood panel. Lightweight yet very strong, with superior acoustic, fire, seismic and thermal performance, CLT is also fast and easy to install, generating almost no waste onsite. CLT offers design flexibility and low environmental impacts.

In line with Kemet’s strategy of responsible sustainability, the goal is to pursue a balanced approach to the unique mixture of energy, community and design construction. Kemet Industries, under the direction of O. Anthony Wint, intends to build to the maximum extent on what already exists. This approach to revitalization is sound and responsible because it is mindful on the impact that we have on our planet.
